A man was killed this week while jet skiing with his wife on Falcon Lake in south Texas, the US/Mexico international border runs through the center of the lake and apparently the couple had inadvertently strayed in to the Mexican side.

US authorities and outraged Texans are pondering a plan of action to deal with Mexican pirates after a US jet skier was shot Thursday and his fleeing wife chased onto the US side of a border lake.

The shooting on Falcon Lake, part of the Rio Grande watershed near Zapata, Texas, follows a months-long surge in attacks by drug-cartel-linked pirates on US boaters who have crossed into Mexican waters. It is the first instance in which an American has been hurt.

The wife tried to retrieve her husbands body but came under fire herself and had to get away on her jet ski. Her husbands body has not been found and authorities are unable to search for it in Mexican waters.

When oh, when are we going to get a president who is serious about border security? When an American is murdered in this way it is long past time for serious action on the border. Not that I think in any way the current occupant of the White House will lift a finger, remember, according to the administration the US border with Mexico is more secure than it has ever been.

So, what should we do to secure the border? I’m glad you asked.

Since building a full length fence would take time we don’t have and in many areas it is not really feasible due to terrain, this is what I think we should do:

We should deploy armed troops and support assets to the US/Mexico border in numbers sufficient to secure it from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, along with aid from US Border Patrol and local law enforcement. I’m talking predator drones, Blackhawks, P3 Orion’s, and M1-A1 Abrams main battle tanks. Lock the border down tight for 120 days and 98% of illegal immigration, drug smuggling and human trafficking will cease. After that a gradual draw down to a suppression force and a QRF is all that will be needed.

Do this once, and the threat of it happening again will be all that is needed to get the Mexican government off their asses. All we are lacking is a president with the balls to do something like this. Unfortunately I am afraid it may take a female president to show the cajones our current metrosexual-in-chief lacks. His own party no longer takes him seriously, why should Mexico or any other country for that matter?

A few thousand people showed up today for the One Nation Rally in Washington DC today. By the time the rally was winding down the speaker on the podium might as well have been talking to herself.

What you saw today was the death throes of communist socialism in America. Just a cursory look at pictures taken from twitter feeds of rally attendees shows that any claims that the crowd was larger than Glen Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally on August 28th are nothing short of delusional. Oh, sure, there will be claims by the leftist loons that hey had more people there but they were hidden by trees, or that the shadows hid them in the pictures, the moon was in the second house and Jupiter was aligned with Mars, whatever. The pictures don’t lie. At best there were 20,000 to 50,000 people in attendance. Almost all bussed in and fed by their union Astroturf masters.

No my friends, if the democrats were scared before, they should be terrified now, there is no better illustration of the so-called ‘enthusiasm gap’ than what you saw at the One Nation rally today.

Compare the video of the end of the One nation rally with video of the end of the Restoring Honor Rally when Glen Beck said goodbye to the crowd. The difference is night and day.

Yesterday it was announced that celebrity ‘lawyer’ Gloria Allred was going to drop a bombshell at a news conference today that could derail Meg Whitman’s campaign for governor of California. First it should be noted that Allred is a close friend of Whitman’s opponent, former California governor Jerry Brown, and a major campaign contributor.

So what was this stunning announcement? Allred claims that Whitman employed an illegal immigrant as a housekeeper for 9 years:

A former housekeeper for Meg Whitman claims the Republican governor candidate knew she was an illegal immigrant but continued to employ her, according to her attorney Gloria Allred.

Allred said Whitman caused the worker to “feel exploited, disrespected, humiliated, and emotionally and financially abused.” The worker alleges Whitman knew she was here illegally but did not act on it until she decided to run for governor last year.

Nice try Gloria. Whitman reportedly found the maid through an employment agency. It is the employment agency who has the responsibility for determining immigration status, not Whitman, The Whitman campaign has given documents to TMZ web site showing that her maid lied on her hiring documents. How the maid felt exploited and abused making $23.00/hr from Whitman for cleaning her house is another question.

Whitman has also issued a statement on the matter, saying … “After 9 years of faithful service, Nicky came to us in June 2009 and confessed that she was an illegal worker.” Whitman continues, “Nicky has falsified the hiring documents and personal information she provided to the employment agency that brought her to us in 2000.”

Now putting aside Allred’s PC newspeak above, isn’t California the state that is protesting things like Arizona’s SB1070 law and not only embracing, but welcoming illegal immigrants in droves? Isn’t this the place screaming about the ‘rights’ of illegal aliens? So Whitman gives a well paying job to an illegal and now it’s some terrible thing? Never mind that the maid lied, burn the heretic!!

I guess it’s only ok if democrats hire illegals, because when they do it then they are caring, evolved people just helping the oppressed. When a republican does it, even through no fault of her own, she is emotionally and financially abusing them.

I lived in California when Gov. Moonbeam was in office, if you voters in California give any weight to this absolutely facetious accusation, then you deserve what you get. California, don’t be stupid, make me proud to be a native son. Elect Meg Whitman.

What is it with this guy anyhow? If you are like me you are asking the same question of President Obama by now. How many of Obama’s friends and associates are destined for jail time before the end of this enormous train wreck called the Obama administration?

As a former, though unwilling, member of the SEIU I find this particularly satisfying. Being a member of the SEIU never benefited me in the least, anytime I did ask for their assistance I found nothing but buck passing and incompetence- they sure found my paycheck every month though.

They say that you are known by the company you keep. Andy Stern has been the single most frequent visitor to the Obama white house, as well as being a member of Obama’s deficit commission, and I think this speaks volumes about Obama. Not that we really needed anything to further underpin what we have already known from the time Obama began his run to the presidency.

The SEIU has an agenda to dominate the labor force, and as Obama has loudly stated, their agenda is his agenda. Let’s hope this investigation brings to light the corruption and collusion between SEIU and the Obama white house.

And here I was thinking it was the other way around!

Sen. John Kerry, looking for any excuse as to why the democrats are readying themselves to join the ever expanding rolls of the unemployed after November 2nd, says that the problem is stupid voters. According to this story at Michelle Malkin’s blog, Kerry was quoted as saying:

“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,”

You mean like “Hope and Change” or “Yes We Can” John? You might be on to something there senator.

Ought to go over real big in flyover country there huh John? I can’t help but wonder what horrible stuff we avoided by not voting for you in 2004. I have a feeling we are seeing much of what a Kerry presidency would have looked like right now. But at least you would have known how to pronounce ‘Corpsman’, thats something at least.

Your party is in trouble because the American public has told you what they want and you have simply ignored them. And since you are deaf to our pleas, we are going to tell you again using the only thing that you seem to care about, the ballot box.

There has been a fundamental change in this country but it was not the change Barack Obama was talking about. And that change is about to bite you square on the ass come November 2nd.

What a beautiful lesson in the law of unintended consequences.

With the mid-term elections a mere 40 days away, all indications are that the GOP will wrest control of the House away from the democrats and the Senate is likely to lose its democrat majority. While this will be an excellent first step intaking the country back from the precipice that the Obama administration has driven us to, this is still not enough.

In order to truly dismantle the damage that the Obama administration has already done, and whatever it is likely to do in the next two years, the GOP is going to have to win in the presidential elections in 2012.

The way to achieve this is numbingly simple, which actually has me concerned that republicans can pull it off. Yesterday we got a look at the GOP’s Pledge to America, where the republicans outline their wishlist for the country should they regain the majority after November. The First Step

Keep your pledge! To the letter. It’s all well and good to make high flying promises when everyone knows you have no power to really make them happen, it’s another to keep them when you do. We all saw this in 1994 with Newt’s ‘Contract with America’, after they failed to enact many of the items contained in the CWA, Newt said that they never promised to pass the proposals, just allow them to come to the floor for a vote. Thats not going to fly this time. Pelosi and Reid have shoved a crap sandwich down our throats with no republican input, crafted in back rooms and bought votes with exemptions and kickbacks to recalcitrant members. And then had the cajones to say that the GOP was the party of ‘no’ with no new ideas. After November, I see no reason not to treat them in kind, they did it on their own and their ideas have proven to be a disaster. They deserve no sympathy, and certainly no quarter, after how they have treated the minority the last two years.

The Second Step

And this is important, nominate a conservative for president this time!! If you haven’t noticed conservative republicans have rejected the RINO’s at every turn, we are sick of them and their milquetoast campaigns. After the damage already done, this is no time for timidity or indecisiveness, god knows how bad things might get before 2012. There is no shortage of real, honest-to-goodness conservatives out there who would make outstanding candidates, Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal, Chris Cristie are just a few that come to mind. We need a a president who is an American, not a politician. Someone who believes in the united states and believes in the sanctity of of the constitution and its principals.

See? Simple. Now can the GOP actually make it happen? Time will tell.

Sarah Palin is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable and popular politicians in the country today. She is also one of the most hated and reviled politicians in the country as well. Lover her or hate her, one thing is undeniable, she has changed the face of American politics.

There has been much speculation about whether Sarah Palin will run for president in 2012, and questions about whether she is qualified to be president. For anyone not drunk on the liberal kool-aide the answer to that is a resounding, yes!

Of the four people running in the presidential race in 2008 the most unqualified of the four was actually Barack Obama. Obama spent 6 years in the Illinois state legislature and had no major legislative accomplishments there, rather he would routinely become a sponsor on bills written by others. After being elected to the US Senate, Obama was made chair of a minor sub-committee, of which he never bothered to call one meeting. After serving less than two years as a US Senator Obama announced he was running for president. He did so without even one major piece of legislation to his name.

Before he got in to politics Obama wrote two books, about himself, was a ‘community organizer’, whatever the hell that is, no one had ever heard the term before Obama started spouting it off as one of his qualifications for office. Supposedly Obama attended Occidental and Columbia universities before attending Harvard law. I say supposedly because no one at Columbia seems to remember him and he has sealed all of his academic records from every school he says he attended.

But what about Sarah Palin? What makes her qualified?

Palin attended several schools before obtaining her degree in journalism and a minor in political science. Her detractors say this shows she is not very smart or well educated. I say it shows a person who has faced a similar rocky road as millions of Americans who have struggled to pay for a college education. Unlike Obama who was given every benefit his radical friends and ethnicity could afford him. I would rather someone who understands how regular folks struggle with such thing rather that someone who had everything financed and handed to him.

Palin has been a small business owner, mother, wife, city council member, mayor and ultimately governor of the state of Alaska. She also served as the chair and ethics officer of the Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission. It was in this role that she took on the corruption of her own party members and this in part propelled her to the governorship. As governor she took on the big oil companies and let them know she was calling the shots about what they could and could not do in her state. She is widely credited with reviving a long-stalled effort to build a natural-gas pipeline from Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay energy fields to the Lower 48.

Obama, conversely, was brought up in what is traditionally the most corrupt political machine in the country. In the campaign that thrust Obama on to the national stage an ultimately his run to the white house, his opponent’s SEALED divorce court records became magically unsealed, forcing his republican opponent, Paul Ryan, to abandon the race- Obama waltzed in to the US Senate essentially unopposed.

Until recently Sarah Palin could be seen shopping for her family at the Wasilla Wal-Mart or target (she now sends one of the girls because the attention of  fans and well wishers made it impossible for her to get her shopping done). The point being that Sarah Palin has bought a gallon of milk recently and knows what regular Americans are up against in this economy.

Barack Obama on the campaign trail once famously bitched to a rally crowd about the price of arugula at Whole Foods!! Whole Foods!! What minute percentage of Americans regularly buys their weekly groceries at Whole Foods!!?? Much less knows what the hell arugula is?

When you boil it down Palin is more than qualified not only by her executive experience, which Obama has yet to eclipse, but by being a person who has lived though the same struggles as many Americans. Palin earned what she has and worked for what she has achieved.

Obama sequestered himself in academia and surrounded himself with radicals of all stripes, and his train wreck administration is proof that he has no idea what America is about.

Sarah Palin is so popular because she does, and at the end of the day I want a president who understands the nature of the country they lead, rather than trying to beat it in to the shape they prefer.
