The amateur hour and circle jerk that is the Obama White House continues unabated, and unashamed. Last week Obama gave a speech to a joint session of congress to implore them to pass his new American Jobs Act, “right NOW!”. Something Obama asked them to do no fewer than 16 times during the course of his address to the assembled lawmakers. The most curious part of this speech by ‘the smartest man ever to hold the office of president’, is that the bill he was begging them to pass has yet to be written, much less scored by the Congressional Budget Office. Presidential advisor Valerie Jarrett told Rachel Maddow on MSNBC after the speech that he would get to it ‘next week’.

So essentially what the president told congress was that they needed to pass a non-existent piece of legislation, that had not, and could not have been, scored by CBO while promising that the entire package would be paid for without adding to the deficit. One has to wonder how Obama could possibly present such an obvious falsehood to congress and believe that no one was going to call him on it. Initial numbers indicate that the bill will cost approximately $447 Billion dollars, and this is just an estimate without the benefit of a score from CBO, unfortunately for Obama, CBO does not score speeches. Unlike Obama CBO cannot operate in the world of rainbows and unicorns with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. No, they actually need hard numbers to give a score, something this administration has been want to provide on a number of things, rather relying on a smile and “trust us, we’re really smart”.

The truth is that this speech was not a plea to fix this country’s economic woes but the kickoff of the Obama re-election campaign, and was purely political. In all my years of following politics I have never seen a president come before congress and ask them, beg them, to pass legislation that has not even been written yet. Obama asked congress to “stop the political circus and actually do something to help the economy”. It has become disturbingly apparent that the only circus that needs to be stopped is the one currently performing in the west wing of the white house.

President Obama, in true liberal fashion, has selective amnesia about the first failed stimulus package and is simply rehashing old ideas and asking for billions more to throw at the problem. Because in the liberal mind, like socialism, this time it’s really, really going to work. Obama is asking for, at least at the moment, ‘only’ $140 Billion dollars to update roads and bridges, sound familiar? One has to suppose that this time they are really, really going to be ‘shovel ready’. Never mind the fact that Obama himself admitted several months ago that there was no such thing as a shovel ready job. And certainly never mind the footage of Obama laughing about shovel ready jobs not ‘being as shovel ready as we thought’ just this year.

Obama’s career dissipation light has kicked in to high gear, and he and his cronies know it. But, alas, Obama has proven time and time again that he is a one trick pony, and the only solution he can see is to beg congress for more taxpayer money. Quite a difference from ‘I won’, isn’t it?

Obama is done, even his own people are whispering in the halls and some are even looking for a democratic primary opponent to challenge him in 2012. It took three years but even traditional democrats are waking up to what a disaster Obama has been for America. And to their credit, the ones who truly love this country are attempting to make it right.

They needn’t worry, Obama will not be re-elected. Too many people have been suffering too long under this inept and wholly unqualified president, and be it by the ballot box or the cartridge box, real change is coming.
